Goin’ Kiwi For A Cure! was a smashing success!

Thanks to the generous support of Anthology and our various partners, including our media partner KUSI, Goin’ Kiwi For A Cure! was a night to remember!  Alexis DelChiaro was the emcee for the event and helped make it a smashing success!

Coach Gurujan was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Aware from Team In Training for years of dedication to the cause.  Most of the team has participated in an event coached by Gurujan and his infinite wisdom and experience made every race so much better!  The team is grateful for his generous contribution to the cause and personal impact on our lives.

About Paul

I first became involved with TNT in 2004 with the Los Angeles Triathlon team. I was working for IDEC Pharmaceuticals at the time and IDEC was focused on treatments for Non-Hodgkin lymphoma with their commercial drugs Rituxan and Zevalin. IDEC as passionate about improving lives and that passion lead me to TNT.

Throughout the years, I have participated and mentored in a number of TNT events, including a century ride in 2005, Lavaman Triathlon in 2006 and Vineman (a half Ironman distance race) in 2009. I have met and trained with so many amazing selfless and giving people with the team.

I am a believer of curing *all* forms of cancer as my grandfather died from lung cancer which had aggressively had spread to his lymph nodes and to his bones. I believe in helping to raise money necessary to fund crucial research to save lives.

I joined the IMNZ 2012 team to support all those battling cancers, and I am also doing this for my father who is battling the terminal disease Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA) and every day I understand how important research is to improving the quality of life of those with terrible diseases.
